Match Report - 28 Jun 2009, Wrexham Lawn Tennis Club Mens Wrexham B Team beat Tarvin B
2 closely fought matches were played against Tarvin's 1st team and even though Jos and Daz looked well on to win after the first set, they did their usual 'sit back and enjoy' and the match promptly went to a championship tie break.
In a amazing break with tradition however Jos and Daz overcame the opposition and won the tie break 11-9.
Ian and Tom played the 2nds and after a shaky start, powered through to a convincing win. Their second match however was much tighter and once again a championship tie break was reached. An early lead saw Ian and Sam go 3-0 up however they soon squandered this lead and found themselves at 8-9 down.
Some pressured points later and Tarvin squeezed the win at 11-9
A good friendly match had by all and plenty of after-sun lotion required for burnt arms and legs!
